Chicken Tikka Masala Recipe!

Ingredients for marination
chicken breast
plain Greek yogurt
Lemon juice
garam masala
salt
Ingredients for the gravy
Onions
Ginger
Garlic
Vegetable oil
Ghee
Cumin powder
Garam masala
Salt
Red chili powder
Tomato purée
Heavy whipping cream
Steps:
marinate the chicken
Take the chicken breast and cut into small pieces

In a bowl, add two large spoons of plain greek yogurt, chicken, one spoon of garam Masala, one spoon of salt, squeeze half a lemon and marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes



Pour vegetable oil in a skillet

Wait for the oil to heat up and once heated, put pieces of chicken in the skillet and cook at least one minute on each side

Prepare the gravy
Put one spoon of ghee and some vegetable oil in a large pan and wait until it is heated
Once heated up, pour finely chopped onions into the pan and wait for the onions to turn translucent
Once onions are cooked, take some fresh ginger and 3-4 cloves of garlic and grate into the pan
Let cook for about one minute
Add one spoon of Garam Masala, one spoon of cumin powder, and one spoon of salt and wait about 30 seconds to cook
Add either tomato purée or freshly chopped tomatoes
Add red chili powder
Let cook for 10 minutes on medium heat until the mixture has turned thick
Take an immersion blender and create a fine purée of onions and tomatoes in the pan

Once the purée is smooth, add a bit of water and let cook for another 1-2 minutes

Finally add the previously cooked chicken into the puree
Add a bit of heavy whipping cream and let cook for 8-10 minutes until the chicken has cooked through
Add some dried fenugreek and your chicken tikka masala is ready!!
